HR Generalist II/Recruiter

JOB BRIEF:

The Human Resources Generalist II will assist with running the daily functions of the HR Department including recruiting, onboarding, offboarding staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, managing employee records, HR Compliance, drafting and enforcing HR and Company policies, procedures, and processes, handling employee communications, etc. This is a full-time exempt salary position. This is a hybrid position.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work as an HR Partner to Generalist III and Director: reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and on-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, EEO, anti-harassment, anti-discrimination training, professional licensure, aptitude exams, certifications, etc.
  • Primarily recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions.
    • Collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
    • Write and post job descriptions on relevant platforms, especially social media
    • Utilize knowledge of multiple recruiting sources and execute innovative strategies to find quality candidates and prospect for new business
    • Screen resumes and CVs and manage job candidates throughout hiring process, from interview preparation to final offer.
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employment eligibility verifications.
  • Provides guided communication to candidates throughout their onboarding and background check processes.

· Maintain database of candidate records, including active and passive prospects, hired and fired employees, and other designations.

· Engage and partner with key HR partners across various departmental functions.

· Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

· Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and develops policies and practices to maintain compliance.

· Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law and those related to government contractors.

· Manage and implement improvements in the Human Resources Department’s systems/practices in line with the company’s mission and strategic direction.

· Identify and implement company policies, procedures, and processes.

· Performs other duties as may be assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills and abilities to work with HR Team and across departments required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Extensive experience with ADP Workforce Now required.

Preferred Education and Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 3-5 years of talent acquisition experience preferred.
  • 2-3 of Human Resource Generalist experience preferred.
