Trust Consulting Services is looking to hire an Access Control Specialist to support the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). The Access Control Specialist provides access control, monitoring, and security services to protect life, property and information to ensure the safety and security of DIA personnel and resources, the objective of ACSS is to rigorously enforce accountability and control measures for vehicles, personnel and property entering/departing DIA facilities and to safeguard classified information by preventing uncleared personnel, who are either working in or visiting DIA facilities, from being inadvertently introduced to classified information and/or entering unauthorized areas.

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain accountability for personnel, vehicles, and property entering and departing DIA facilities.
  2. control entry, operate equipment, monitor/update systems, and execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) necessary to protect life, property and information.
  3. provide escort services for uncleared personnel working within or around DIA controlled property if required.
  4. Monitor and control access into and from Sponsor facilities by ensuring personnel identification throughout the production, issuance, and verification of identification media.
  5. Operate and ensure the proper administrative control of equipment designed for the management of property, deliveries, packages, and controlled/prohibited items.
  6. Monitor compliance with Sponsor‘s established rules and regulations. Promptly correct, or report unsafe conditions, procedures, or activities to the Sponsor/COR
  7. Provide access control and related administrative processing support. Operate and maintain manual and computer-based access control systems, databases, and equipment.
  8. Provide personnel to staff Visitor Centers to process visitors into secure facilities in accordance with site procedures. Initial training to contract personnel shall be provided by the sponsor.
  9. When directed by Sponsor, conduct random inspections, in accordance with Sponsor’s regulations, policies, directives to ensure prohibited items aren’t introduced into the Sponsor’s facilities. Operate walk through metal detectors (both fixed and portable), X-ray equipment, and other site-specified equipment.
  10. When directed by Sponsor, conduct package inspections of personnel entering/departing a facility in accordance with post/position orders.
  11. Open or secure rooms as directed within the guidelines of post/position orders or security regulations.
  12. Monitor closed circuit television systems, intrusion detection systems, fire alarm systems and execute site-specific Security Services SOPs.
  13. Coordinate ongoing training program/process with Government POCs to ensure all employees receive initial/recurring training on SOPs.
  14. Perform site-specific security/safety/information protection tasks listed under paragraph 7. Access Control Specialist Posts.

Qualifications:

  1. Must have 3 years of experience as a U.S. Government Access Specialist or Supervisor managing day-to-day post personnel activities, requirements, procedures, and short-notice personnel replacement execution.
  2. Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance
  3. Must have CPR/AED certification required (45 days from the date of hire to obtain)
  4. Anti-terrorism Cyber security training.
  5. Possess binocular vision correctable to 20/20 and close vision correctable to Saiger No. 4 type test for both eyes, be free of color blindness, and have normal fields of vision and depth perception.
  6. Be in good health without conditions which would interfere with duty performance.
  7. Have normal hearing or correctable to normal levels with hearing aids.
  8. The ability to read and understand regulations, detailed written orders, policies, and training instructions.
  9. The ability to make independent decisions in a quick and decisive manner using good judgement.
  10. The ability to maintain effective working relations with supervisors, coworkers, and Sponsor’s employees.
  11. - The ability to represent the organization in a professional, customer-oriented manner and effectively communicate in-person and over Information Technology systems, the telephone, and radio.


Opening: Immediately

Term: Base and four (4) Option Periods

Salary: $20.00 per hour plus $4.41 Health and Wealthfare Fringe benefit if eligible.
